Honeycrisp

Red Delicious
FLAVOR: Mildly sweet.
TEXTURE: Crunchy and crisp.
USES: The Red Delicious apple is ideal for salads and snacking. They are also good for juicing.
FACT: The Red Delicious is a classic! America’s favorite snacking apple. Best stored at cold temperatures.
Granny Smith
FLAVOR: Very tart.
TEXTURE: Crisp and juicy.
USES: The Granny Smith is considered an all-purpose apple; ideal for snacks, baking, and candy apples.
FACT: The Granny Smith is believed to be a descendant of French crab-apples, cultivated by Australian grandmother Maria Ann Smith.
Gala
FLAVOR: Sweet and snappy.
TEXTURE: Firm and crisp.
USES: The Gala apple is primarily used for snacking and salads because of its natural sweetness. They can also be used in baking, pies, and sauces.
FACT: The Gala is one of the first apples to be harvested when the season starts
Fuji
FLAVOR: Sugary-sweet.
TEXTURE: Firm and juicy.
USES: The Fuji apple is great for snacking, baking, salads, and pies.
FACT: The Fuji apple’s firmness helps it freeze well. Apple slice ice cubes, anyone?
Pink Lady
FLAVOR: Tart with a sweet finish.
TEXTURE: Juicy and crisp.
USES: The Pink Lady apple is ideal for out-of-hand eating and is a great dessert apple.
FACT: The Pink Lady apple resists browning when cut so they hold up well on cheese boards, in salads, sandwiches, and fruit trays.
Golden Delicious

USES: The Golden Delicious is an all-purpose apple. Great for snacking, baking, and salads.
FACT: The Golden Delicious apple is great for baking because the apple’s natural sweetness allows you to reduce the amount of added sugar in a recipe!
Braeburn
FLAVOR: Spicy, sweet and tart.
TEXTURE: Firm and crisp.
USES: Braeburns are great for snacking and baking and are considered multipurpose apples because of their large size and rich flavor.
FACT: The Braeburn apple is known for its hints of cinnamon and nutmeg in the flavor.
Crimson Delight
FLAVOR: Sweet and slightly tart.
TEXTURE: Juicy and crisp.
USES: The Crimson Delight is the ideal snacking apple. Naturally sweet and delicious.
FACT: The Crimson Delight is a new variety – discovered at Washington State University. This is a winter apple that peaks in flavor and sweetness from Jan 1 through February. Forget roses, give your Valentine a Crimson Delight!
